    Old Stash - New Stash ! JANUARY 2013

    Welcome to the twice-monthly, Old Stash - New Stash !

    Leanne and I will be running this twice monthly class, which combines both NEW and OLD stash with a sketch, but the twist is that there will be a 2nd layout later in the month, using the same sketch, but only using SU! products. There will be a card from the scraps as well. We hope this will enthuse scrappers AND cardmakers and get you using things you may have thought was only for one or the other across your scrapping.

    Below is the sketch for the month, and the layout that I have made using it. To start the layout, I decided on the range/ranges of paper that I wanted to use, and then I found the photograh to match. I flipped the sketch first, and decided on the layout for my papers. Next, I added the embellishments as I was putting the layout together, although I changed them frequently ! Once I was happy that I had used all the elements of the sketch, I adhered everything to the cardstock base.

    I hope you have fun with this, and that you link your creations to this thread.

    Lovely LO and I can't wait to use my SU stuff as well! Love the idea of making a card from scrap too!

    can we take part if we don't have any SU products? or is it only for those that do, in other words, do we have to do the two parts.

    Hi Mary !

    You can do one part or two - it is entirely up to you ... the whole idea is to show that Stampin Up! products can be used in exactly the same way as mainstream products - ALSO, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY - Its to help you use up your old stash !

    If you only want to do the SU! part then thats great - if you only want to do the old stash part, then thats fine too xx

    This is what I wanted to know, too, so thanks Mary for asking the question. I don't have any SU products either so will just take part in old stash projects.

    I dont have any SU products but will do the old stash part as really want to start using up some of my stash and also need challenges and sketches to keep my mojo going

    Just use what you want ...... you can do two layouts. Using the same sketch, do one layout the same as the sketch, and then perhaps you can turn it and twist it like I did to do the second layout.

    Am so glad you all want to join in- like Cal says, this is meant to inspire you and be fun, plus help use up all your scraps, but you don't have to be as strict as we are if you're not able
