How to create text in a circle?
I would love to be able to create text/words within a cicle. I've heard of people using word to do this, but unfortunately I only have MS Works installed on my PC. Does anyone know of any other way to do this?
I have PS8 and CS3 software, but very limited knowledge of both.
Thank you for any help.

Thanks TracyG 04 - But all the info is for MS Word, and as I previously mentioned, I don't have Word I only have Works. Am I the only person on the planet to not have Word on my PC?
I had my computer built up for me, but unfortunately it didn''t come with any software installed. I had MS Works on a CD, so installed that myself.

Hi - I do all my word processing in Publisher and never use Word or Works, but I have just opened Works to check whether it has Word Art included - and it does!!
here are the instructions - copied from Works Help after searching for Word Art:-
1 Click in the document where you want to insert the WordArt.
2 On the Insert menu, point to Picture, and then click WordArt.
Works inserts a frame for the WordArt, and replaces the Standard toolbar (a row of buttons near the top of a window that you can click to perform an action, such as to print or save a document) and menus with the WordArt toolbar and menus.
3 In the Enter Your Text Here box, type the text you want.
To begin a new line, press ENTER.
4 To update the WordArt text in the document, click Update Display.
5 Click the WordArt toolbar buttons to create the effects you want.
6 To exit WordArt, click outside the Enter Your Text Here box.
WordArt automatically saves your work and returns to your Works document.
Note Microsoft WordArt includes its own Help system, where you'll find information on how to use the WordArt toolbar and menus. To display Help, click WordArt Help Topics on the WordArt Help menu.
To change the shape of the text go to the drop down box on the top left hand side of the toolbar (this appears once you have opened Word Art) it reads '- Plain Text'. If you click on this you will have a load of options for making the text follow a different shape - including circles. You need to play around and experiment with spacing your words etc to get them placed where you want them but I am sure that you will have great fun playing.

Woooo!! you're a little gem, welshwren. Thank you so much!!

Oh! No! Please help welshwren. When I go to picture the only choice available is clipart, there's no wordart. Perhaps it's not available on my version of Works.

I don't have it either, we just got a new laptop with Vista, and on this version, Works doesn't have it, how annoying, also on my older version there was a function for reversing the text!

No, I can't seem to to it either in works, would love to be able to do a circle. Any ideas?

Just found this thread and am I glad I did. I always wondered how everyone did the circular thingy. Absolutely brilliant, thanks Tracy. Hope everyone else gets Works sorted.
