Hosting a card making class. Help!?
Hi everyone.
I've not been on this forum for years. But you were my first thought to ask for tips....
I've been asked to run a staff well being craft class.
I've made loads of my own cards and scrapbooks. But never had to organise a "follow me" type class.
It's about 20ppl. I have a £50 budget. And only 45 minutes to complete the class.
I was thinking of a Xmas card and maybe a few gift tags.
I want them to have something fairly stylish but not too difficult as will have wide range of abilities.
I will probably have to precut paper and card as there won't be enough trimmers for everyone.
Any tips or thoughts on what might be good to do? I don't want them to just have bits pre done to stick together. They need to have a bit more of an input.
Thanking you all in advance

Nice to see you back here!
How about punched shapes in pre cut cards and tags?.. I find people find punches fascinating.. or die cuts? How about some simple stamping. Tags for Christmas gifts would be fun to make and useful. Cards too but tags are less expensive and you can have a variety of dies, stamps and punches. Give them choices of bling or pearls (the Poundshop is great for inexpensive strips with lots on them). I did something similar for my WI recently and they loved adding their own embellishments. I made a few samples, showed them how to use a stamping platform and a Big Shot and made some samples and away they went!
Good luck!

Good ideas there. Thank you.

Also try The Works for cheap but good embellishments and I'm sure if you need any Christmas dies cutting some of us can help out and pop them in the post, to get you started. Sounds like fun.

Oh good grief! I can see why you need to get organised, then you can concentrate on things like - a new baby - how wonderful. Let me know if I can help.

I'm thinking some glitter gel pens might be good to add some sparkle....as there won't be time for glitter glue to dry.
Can't afford much.... And I'll need several to go round. Maybe a gold and silver per group of 5....thats still 10 pens (includes 2 spare incase class size increases) so will eat into my budget a bit.
Any recommendations?

I think the ones we favour will probably be too expensive to buy in any numbers. Probably best to check out the cheap shops as they will have some decent enough for such a class.
Congratulations on the new grandchild to be!
