You can of course embrace the theme of peaches/fruit (after all pineapples, watermelons, etc. are still on trend in the design world!) but if that's not your thing, there are plenty of other elements you could interpret on your card. One of them could be a real challenge for those who always work on a white background: using a neutral shade like grey or kraft as your background for a change. You may just find out your love it!
If you're stumped, I've listed lots and lots of ideas over on my blog to kick start your creativity!
Past prompts (and card ideas) are all tagged under 2019 card challenge on my blog so you can find them easily in one place.
Also for those of you on Instagram, I'll be using the hashtag #2019handmadecardchallenge to share my projects there, so feel free to use this tag on Instagram as well!
Points for this challenge:
On top of the standard 5 points per any card you make, if you make a card for the monthly challenge you can now claim an extra 10 points!
As with all the other UKS challenges you can only claim this once a month.
Up with the lark for me. I have 12 cards that need making this month for birthdays, anniversaries, Father’s Day etc. so I thought I’d crack on as I’m off on holiday on Friday and I need 5 of them for while I’m away! I’m on my second card this morning already. Not sure I’m happy with this one so I may have another go at it if I get time.
Here is the first one. The first one doesn’t fit the brief but I’ll post it later in the other thread
You do have a busy month Elaine !
That card is beautiful. Love that ribbon clasp, just perfect. And the ribbon is very pretty.
Have you done the greeting on the computer ? It looks great - lovely font
Stunning card Elaine and I am the same, I almost always use the printer because I never have the right sentiment in the right font and the right size or even shape. Mind you, I started out making everything on the computer/printer back in the day before they called it 'digital', I didn't get into hand made so to speak until quite a while later and I still love to mix'n match.
I love that ribbon and the clasp too, very elegant, she'll love it.
I still haven't made my niece's anniversary card, I have so much to do and can't think to craft at all, this is terrible I should be back at her album again by now the the light nights but last night I was out until 9.45pm.
gardening.
I'm not a peach person Nat but there is lots there to use so I 'hope' to join in more this month. Lots of flowers and leaves to use too so another great prompt, thanks Nat.
