That is gorgeous Ellie, I love the embossed background. I've just got an embossing folder which is gorgeous but apart from embossing it I've done nothing with it. The glittered part I've done I'll get a photo of because for the life of me I can't seem to make it work on a card. It is how the design is done.
Yes please show Susie
I forgot about sparkle this month I found that quote dont let anyone dull your sparkle and still going to do something with it
I just making a quick 60th card but its for a man so not sure if I can sneak some in I will but I just printed a photo of him he always doing silly poses in photos so thought it would make a nice card and I have a badge with 60 on
love your cards Ellie you keeping us going this month well done
I don't really do glitter ..... LOL. But I can cope with a bit of gleaminess in the form of Wink of Stella, even though it doesn't really show up in the photo!!!
I love those cards Wendy and just as I was scrolling through the site I was sing Deck the Halls. Well actually, if I'm to be completely honest I had changed the words, I was looking at our neighbour's skip and singing "Deck the skip with boughs of holly."
I must find that card front and take a photo to show you.
Here it is, a bit of a blurry photo (or maybe it's my eyes). Anyway, once I'd embossed it I didn't know what to do with it. I tried gold card behind it but nothing seems to work. It's the edges of the trees that throws me off.
Wendy, gorgeous cards, very tasteful. Great bauble stamp !
Susie, that is a lovely embossed scene, I’d cut out a rectangle up to the edges of your embossing and mount on a card, something similar to Wendy’s cards
Sorry, no cards from me at all, will try harder next month
Nat, are you up for setting another year of challenges ?
Susie, I see what you mean about the edges of the trees! Perhaps you could trim the image, but not too closely, leaving a white 'border' round all edges, them mat it onto a very narrow black mat? Then onto a white card blank.
Hi all - just popping in to say I've scheduled the first prompt for 2019 over on my blog. It should be published in the morning, but I'm not sure what time I'll get the UKS post up tomorrow as it depends how tonight's celebrations go.
But yes, there's a challenge coming your way in 2019 and I've mapped out most of the year already so hoping you'll enjoy playing along.
I've got a few new crafty additions that I received for Christmas so I'm looking forward to using those, but it's back to work for me on Wednesday morning so I'm not putting any pressure on myself to craft right now. I know from past experience that my creativity disappears if I force it and well, I'd really like to get back into the swing of things again. It was really fun having some big crafting sessions in October and November to get my Christmas cards made.
Have a great night all and here's to a crafty 2019!
