For this month's design element we're focusing on....
The Colours of the Rainbow
I've added some tips and ideas over on my blog here.
The full instructions and details for this year's challenge can be found here in the January post.
And past prompts are all listed under the tag 2018 card challenge on my blog.
Also for those of you on Instagram, I'll be using the hashtag #2018handmadecardchallenge to share my projects there, so feel free to use this tag on Instagram as well!
Fab choice Nat! Thank you. So much scope with this.
March is a heavy month for card making for me..so here is my first one.
I chose the purple colours of the pencils in your blog to make this Birthday card for my Mum. She'll be 88 on the 17th.
And here's an orange and red one..with some gold..at the end of the rainbow? Lol
This one is for my friend whose birthday is on the 7th. I stamped with clear ink pad, embossed with WOW ultra fine gold embossing powder and then coloured the flowers and the coat and hat with Brushos Crystal colour..I have ink stained fingers now! Lol
OMG are you psychic or what Elaine! I have been playing with the same embossing powder. Love the red fingers. What is it you want to use the card for in particular Elaine? I believe the Ranger powders are very good for this technique but it is so expensive.
I love all the cards, just beautiful you are so quick off the mark.
Well I made this today, but when I looked closely it has a lot of
glue all over the silver! !
It’s supposed to dry clear.! So 8 pulled it off.
Then I hadn’t another silver die cut. I think Susie sent me those!
So I put a while die cut on, but not sure I like it
But I will post both. What do you think?FD0D59B7-A130-425A-906F-8555021FDB84.jpeg
Both great cards Ellie, I can't see the glue and I don't think that is one of my dies either. Lovely to see the difference changing the die can make. I've just realised I haven't even looked at the prompts for this yet. Sorry Nat!
Lovely start to this months cards. Elaine, the red fingers is a sign you’ve been having fun !
Ellie, I have a happy birthday die like that, but don’t think I sent any, especially not in silver !
Both versions look good, as Susie says, it’s amazing how much difference the die makes to the card.
