Why is this happening?
This is so annoying, sometimes when i save a design (save as) it saves it as a temporary file and then I can’t open it, so I have to start the design all over again! Does anyone know why it is doing this?

No idea why Helen but this happened to me around this time last year with one of the later versions of Studio V3 and my Curio. Not long after the lady from Silhouette US took over my computer to fix problems and she did not know why and deleted them. Not had it since. Which version of Studio are you using?

What version of the software are you using Helen as this was supposed to have been fixed in V4.1.197.

I think I worked it out (not 100% sure though) it seems to happen when I use an already saved design that I want to alter to make a new design with to save as it’s own design (if you know what I mean) so I have been getting around it by opening the design I want to alter and copying it in to a new page instead of altering it on its original page. I hope you follow lol

I’ve been told that a work round to opening the temporary file is just to physically change the extension to .studio then it should open but copying to a new page may be easier and more foolproof Helen.

Oh really I might try that I have a few that saved as temporary ones, which I still have, I will test it out with one of those since I don’t really need them now as I have been doing what I said earlier to avoid it happening.
