If you are really stuck , what I do is print my own colours. So I buy white cards and A4 card and then print it any colour I want. If it is a scalloped edge card I stick it to a piece of A4 copy paper with repositionable glue and print it as an A4 piece of paper.

I know what you mean about colours, you simply can't tell what you are getting from photo's or even on the TV, I have been disappointed so many times. That's why I find a good card stock and paper to print either plain or patterns on to.

Sorry if I'm telling you stuff you've already thought of and just prefer to buy. Any excuse to get into a craft shop is a good excuse for me!
