Hi ladies
My name is Sue and I have been lucky enough to have been given a Silhouette SD cutting machine
I am very new to these machines, as I have loads of dies that I use
I am just waiting for a new blade to be delivered as I had a bit of a problem cutting thick card. Just hope I have ordered the right one as the original blades are the coloured ones but the one I have ordered is the black one with a number dial and it did say it was compatible with all the machines
Looking forward to seeing all your ideas and hints and tips.... need as many as possible at the moment!
Welcome to the forum Sue, I'm sure you'll enjoy your machine as much as we all do. The blade's are interchangeable so the ratchet blade will be fine for your machine...it's recommended that you don't go any higher than 3 with your machine 1=blue cap 2=yellow cap and 3 =the pink cap
Hi Sue
I'm a newbe too, I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered. So I'm trying to pick up things that I should and should not do.
Quite exciting through.

Welcome to the site. I,m sure when you have browsed the site and see all the templates that so many talented ladies have posted you will want to play all day. P.s.It has been mentioned it can be addictive !!!!! happy cutting.
If you're used to using Craft Artist you will know how to save your image..... you will then need to open whatever you want to cut in Studio and trace it to get cut lines. There's a screenshot below showing how to get your image into Studio...choose the format you saved it in from the dropdown box, find your image and open it. There are lots of videos showing how to do the tracing in Studio
Oh I forgot to ask I got my Cameo second hand and when I try to register it won't let me. Is that because the lady who bought it first has done it, if so should I try and change it in to my name.
Sorry I know I have lots to ask and I am reading as much as I can.
Thanks
Sue
