Ebosser
Can anyone help me with a problem I am having with my ebosser. I cut the dies but when I try to emboss the dies after cutting the ebosser cuts straight through rubber mat that is used to emboss. Has anyone else had this problem.

just don't call me The Boss
I've heard comments that cutting thinner paper or card does seem to let the mat get cut.
I think I would go back to the place you got it from and ask for a replacement mat, or contact ebosser directly. I know when I had a problem with my Grand Calibur (the embossing mat cracked the first time I used it) Spellbinders sent me out a new one directly and right away. It would be worth a shot.

Its the thin black mat (feels flimsy) that you use for embossing.
Not the thicker mat which does feel rubbery.
And just make sure you are using the correct sandwich to do this.

Have followed the instruction book. Used exactly what they say tried all sorts of combinations but still cuts through my Mat. The thin mat you mention is not for embossing but a magnetic shim.

I dont follow the instructions which they supplied, as they dont all work.
I use the thin matt to do my embossing, and it does not cut into the matt.

Thanks for advice but I am wary of using the thin mat because the dies cut through the thick mat

For embossing spellbinders its
C B D die thin matt then A plate.
I put the B plate between the two fat plates, as my B plate began to warp. This way it keeps flat.
I have PM'd you will a site for sandwich mixes that work well.
