It's been so long since I posted anything on UKS I can't remember how to do it
Hopefully, my two week one cards are above. The stash is all new in the sense that I have never used any of it before - just bought it and kept it!
Lovely cards girls, and Donna I think it's even more satisfying to make something with "old" stash that you've never got round to using and re-discovering it.
I've just spent quite a while putting last year's cards into a folder in my gallery. If you're just starting this year, learn from my mistake and start a folder/album now. Please don't anyone tell me there's a quick way of doing it or I'll have a paddy LOL.
I only came on to check which ones I really do need to do to finish last years as I had 2 notes with the details of 2 weeks on and I had indeed done them, just that dreaded rolled flower and the one with 'holiday' in the theme, OK here goes...
It was worse than I thought, I still have the song words one to do too, and have to check up on the glitter one.
Still here we are;

Here's my week one card, and I made a Christmas card using the same design - copied from a card I found on google images - both just used scraps
My 'new' thing was my sizzix banner die
Can I ask you experienced card makers - do you usually use ready made card blanks, or do you just use cardstock to make your cards ?
I enjoyed doing this. looking forward to tomorrows new prompt...
I just love your cards Alison and may pinch the idea also it you don't mind. In answer to your question about card....I use both! I have some card blanks but sometimes if I want to do a different size or colour will use whatever card I have in my stash, I do find that some card tends to get 'stressed' along the fold line though!?!!
Lovely card Meg. Is that a metal frame you have used ? - gorgeous
Thanks for your comments Mary, I think I will use that design again, I was quite pleased with the results. and thanks for your card making tips.
Does this thread just continue each week or is there a new one for each week ?
I see this weeks challenge is 'clean and simple' - thats me to a tee ! See what I can think of, I want to keep doing two cards - one general, one Christmas - using the same design for both made it so easy to get done !
Just a quick hello to say that I will be joining in again this year and hopefully might complete it all this time - I think I managed about 40 last year. Hoping I will feel like crafting very soon - we went away for Christmas and New Year and I succumbed to the awful fluy/cold/hacking cough that swept through the ship, still really laid up with it
Here is my first card for the 2013 challenge. I used a new stamp that I got free on the front of a magazine.
I have decided to go for the Christmas challenge too but shall have to see how it goes for the first few weeks. I don't want to over commit myself and spoil the enjoyment of making the cards in the first place.
I too will probably have to rely a lot on my memory makers tree and house die for a lot of the Christmas cards but it is a wonderful die to use.
Lots of lovely cards girls, I forgot to makes notes, but can remember pretty bunting and one that made me think of chocolate, with white roses on, very nice.
Clean and simple should be quick and easy, er, nope.
Just 2 from last year as I forgot the 'favourite' from last year one too, urgh, I might cheat and just choose an easy one from last year as my fave is bound to be complicated.
