Yes you can used the coloured cap housing and blade in the Cameo. I reverted back to the coloured caps system because I find the blade lasts longer and the blades are cheaper to replace.

Cannot wait until my Cameo arrives.
What the heaviest cardstock gsms the Cameo will cut?
I have not pushed my Craft Robo more than 250gsms.
Depending on the type of card it's supposed to cut 350gr with the ratchet blade. I'm not sure about the coloured cap blade because the blade doesn't protrude as far as the ratchet one does although a double cut might cut the same weight card Petrina

Thank you Doreen,
The double cut has proved the best for intricate designs, so much cleaner and it eliminates the need for cutting small bits that didn't go all the way through. Wow, I am thrilled to bits (pun) about the 350gsm...that is 130# cover weight.
I am still going to enter the contest at Silhouette to win a Cameo. If I win, then ask Lucille to play Santa to pick out of a hat the UKScrapper that I could sent it to. There are conversion plugs that will convert the cable from US 120 to UK Standard. I like to dream.

Reason: correct to 130 cover weight

You're welcome Petrina. Good luck with the Silhouette competition and what a generous thing to do if you win.

My poem entry is really silly sounding so I doubt I will win.
Please keep your fingers crossed.

Cleaning out blade
I have had a cameo for about 1 month now and have not cut anything different from my old craft robo but the blade has definately gone blunt in that time, I had my old craft robo for years and only replaced the blade twice. I did see that the new blade had got paper stuck inside the housing and I found the instructions to get the blade apart in English, I followed the instructions it was more difficult to get the blade apart than it looks on the video and I nearly gave up but eventually it came apart and I got out some fairly big pieces of paper from inside the blade and it seems to be cutting a little bit better now, but not as good as when I first started with it.

Petrina - Fingers crossed for you.
StormSkye - If you have the old type blade, then that will work in your cameo too.
