I've arranged the leaves and made a flower for the centre of this one.
The flower is made by arraying an "unclosed" or open petal shape in circles so that you can bend the petals upwards - there were quite a files using this method a year or so back.
I have backed my flower with mirri paper so it shines through where the petals are bent up - gives a really nice effect, but the photo does not show it very well. I have put beads in the circle surrounding the flower. Done in DM - I have included the svg file.
I've used a pale pink for the base card and a mauvey blue for the insert and the flower which gives an understated look - it might have more impact done in stronger colours
A new File added to store is this zebra created from a photo i took a safari park - I framed mine as thought it made a lovely picture could also be cut in vinyl..

I like simple cards so here's one I just made for my sister in law's birthday but it could be used for get well, sympathy or thank you card as well. The font is called DTFlowers
Thought l would put up a card for a change. This is just a simple design of a sun and a cloud. The size is 7 x 7. That should cut out of a A4 sheet of card. All you have to do is fold along the dashed line and then draw round the card to make a back. Fold flap and glue on the inside to secure to the back. Sorry if lm teaching grand ma to suck eggs, but l am awaire that there are a lot of new members to our wonderful world of craft. So they may not have done a card like this.
Its a simple design to start with l will upload more as l go.
This is a circle cut out card. After l had cut it out and stood it up there was movement with the circles they looked like they were floating. I could leave it like that or put the card front thru my Xyron and then adhere it to some backing paper/card and then make up the card as per normal for the 7" design that l do.
It was mentioned there was not enough card designs that can be used for men. Well l hope that this design will help ease that problem. I will try to upload a lot more geometric designs that you could used as a Male Card.
I was inspired to make this by playing around with some bits cut out of my recent name books and challenge stuff.
I was pretty pleased with the results.
I hope you find it useful. pic to follow
extra info, it is a cutting file

Reason: extra info
I've been playing I had an idea yesterday and been playing with it here is the result. I have test cut the flowers and they cut fine, but between the petals is delicate so peel off the carrier sheet carefully.
Another happy accident I just love flukes. This started out as a drawing experience with shapes to do a branch with leaves type thing to go with my flowers, which led to this. I'll go back to the branch and leaves later.
For anyone like me who doesn't like cutting holes in the card front and then sticking a piece of card on the inside, I've made a similar version of the card front as a topper. To get rid of the holes in the actual card front, Release the compound path and delete the petal/leaf shapes.
Fancy floral stencil aperture, line art topper/mat #1
I've just been passing time and found this ready made frame in the Floral Stencil font I found recently, it only needed the little bit in the middle deleted.
I've added a mat with a topper, if you don't want the topper to have an aperture, select it, release the path and delete the inside centre line, then select all and remake the path. The same for the floral frame in the front of the card, just select it and delete. It can all be resized for a larger card.
I've also, changed and grouped the cutlines into colour groups if anyone wants to use it as line art.
