was having a browse of paper flowers on youtube and came accross a tutorial for prima style flowers using a die cut. Well I had a look for that particular die and then thought just design something similar, so I did and have and here you are!
That don't actually look much like the video but she used thick mulberry paper and as we know the robo won't cut that. So I used 120gsm pearl paper, the cream one I just embossed in my bug and the reddy gold one I used versamark over the embossing folder and cosmic shimmer over. The paper rose in the middle I sprayed with glue and dusted with cosmic shimmer.
I rather like them and colouring them way means I will be unlimited for colours!!
wanted an 8 petal rose to make fuller roses so did this, hope they are of some use to someone. I have cut them all in very pale cream pearl paper and chalked some, left one set alone. One sheet makes 5 flowers
Cheers
Vanessa
Sorry yes on the largest flower make a slit from the middle out, on the next largest remove and throw away one petal, next size down, remove and keep 2 petals, then next size down remove and keep 3 petals and on the last cut in half.
glue each flower together overlapping the petal, shape the petals (I use an embossing tool to curve the petals). On the now 7 petalled layer, squash down in the middle and apply a largish dollop of glue, on the 6 petal flower cut a small bit off the point at the bottom and place on top, do this for all of the flowers. On the 2 petal piece you have kept from cutting out, wind that round the embossing tool and cut from the bottom approx a third of theis becomes your central piece.
If I get time tomorrow I will try and do some photos to go with this, although there may well be something on youtube.
Because I can't be bothered to hold the petals together when glueing I bought some tiny craft pegs and use these. Can't think why I didn't buy them before!!
Hope this helps
Vanessa

This is a 3D effect flower and I have included a couple of leaves. You just cut it, roll it up, secure with a little glue then bend back the petals a little. I made it to decorate a gift box and it looks really nice. If used to decorate a card you would need a box as it is quite deep. Hope it's of some use - the file is set to cut the flower only and not the leaves as different colour card could be used for those. Gsd and svg formats are available on my blog.
