Ha ha!!! My friend took delivery of her new Prismas, so I went over for a play and they are soooooo much better than the Coloursoft so I have succumbed and bought 132 prismas and I have managed to sell my Coloursoft
Went in search of Prisma today and I've not been able to track any down yet. The art shop suggested Derwent Artists but they don't seem to smudge - unless I'm doing it wrong. I'd be grateful if anyone could recommend a supplier for a reasonably priced starter set.
Stumbled upon the Prisma Phenomena this weekend, by complete accident....and have ordered some pencils from across the pond. Can't wait for them to arrive. hope they don't take too long.
Have ordered some Zest it and managed to secure a 'winning bid' for a whole load of paper stumps for less than £2 so can't wait to have a go. The results I've seen look absolutely amazing!!!
I can't believe I am soooo excited over....pencils.........
Well I tried to play with my prismas today and it seemed to take me an our just to colour two pictures. I also noticed that when using pale colours like yellow and peach, grey comes from the smudger (forgotten it's name) and makes a nasty grey smudge. What am I doing wrong? Getting rather tempted to ditch them and try the promarkers but I want to give them a decent shot before I give in so any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I'm a new Prisma owner since my DH bought me the 132 set for my birthday. I'm experimenting away but not getting anywhere like the results that you guys have in the gallery..fantastic work there. I've one question though, I can't get sansador and was wondering if Daler-Rowney low odour thinners was the same thing?

Don't know but I managed to find some Sansador by Windsor and Newton in my local art/stationery shop and what a difference it makes, worth the extra time/efffort.
Thanks for the advice I have been using my prisma's with a blending pencil but think I'll look into getting some sansador and blending stubs tomorrow to see the difference,
take care JO
hi all....I've been using the prisma pencils for years now. It's the only thing I'll use for coloring. I've never tried the gamasol mineral spirits for blending. I do use the colorless blender pencil made for the prisma pencils. The card stock that I've had great success is Georgia Pacific white (110 pound) or the Neenah brand of paper. Plus, the ink that I've been using is Memento Tuxedo Black...or the cocoa brown color.
