The tape I have is 12mm wide and is number 904 from directa. The 6mm tape is slightly more iirc and we need an adapter for that tape. I bought a spare gun and have a gun for each size tape.

Gun and tape ordered, it will certainly save me some money.

The tape is cheaper at the moment on the 3M site and you get free delivery unless I messed up and ordered the wrong tape, it did say 904 and assume there's only one 904

Gun and tape arrived today. I think I've set it up right, not the easiest directions to follow or is that just me? I think it will take a bit of getting used to because of its size and also because I'm left handed and you have a slightly better view of what you're doing if you're right handed. Still, small niggles if it saves me lots of money. Okay, off to play.

Well it appears I have managed to buy 3 rolls of sellotape, wish I'd not bothered, it said 904 and mentioned ATG, for me neither the 3M site or the Directa site are clear, I am being thick but have wasted over £20 for nothing as am not risking buying more tape just for it being wrong
-
Pm me a link to what you've bought ruth and I'll have a look for you. It does look like sellotape until you've fed it through a bit and then the sticky is there

\yes just realised that and my hissy fit was all for nowt. I have now followed the instructions for inserting tape and have a working ATG gun and a resolution not to have a hissy fit until I have thoroughly investigated the contents of packets!LOL

Oh I did that too, then of course had my tantrum, then realised that it was what it was meant to be after I got gluey tape everywhere!!

Dedicated Scrapper
I have found another way to use my gun.
Take an small bit and offer it up to the glue, press hard, lift the item
e.g.... flower and check there is glue on the back, I press the trigger and use my finger to roll the tape onwards.
It works for buttons, beads, even little stickers, I sometimes have to fold a tiny bit of glue in from the edges, but it sticks really well...
