Sadly my Mum in Law's brother passed away last night so I had to make a card to send to his wife. Had to have a bit of bling even on a sympathy card! Think I'll make one for my MIL too, if I do i'll add it later
Please be patient the kids have taken my marbles here is my blog

Hi I'm new to posting my creations so I hope I'm doing it right.
I had to make two cards for my SIL and his family and came up with these.
Sympathy Card. picture from Photobucket. Decoupaged. Then matted onto Gold Miri board from C & C. Mounted onto Cream hammered Card stock. Gold border peeloffs and sentiment. Made this one for my S-I-L's family.
and
Yet another one from Photobucket. Decoupaged. Matted onto white card. Cut into Hexagonal shape then mounted onto Black cardstock. Silver border peeloffs and sentiments to finish off.
Thanks for looking
Mystic Nat - Can I just say a big thank you! I've had to make a very sad and difficult Sympathy card tonight and was really struggling. Your card provided some much needed inspiration and I managed to make a half decent card through my tears. I hope you don't mind that I 'scraplifted' your card!
Here's a picture of what I made! Thanks for the inspiration. I used BG Scarlett's Letter papers and I think they worked really well!
It's a lovely card. I really struggle with making sympathy cards, so I'm glad what I managed to make inspired you. They are the most difficult cards to sit down and make aren't they?
They are sooo difficult to make! Thanks again for the inspiration. The funeral was last Monday and both the widow and the two sons both made an effort to come and thank me for the handmade card. They said it was nice to recieve something that had really been thought about rather than just bought. I was glad that I went to the trouble... but I couldn't have done it without your inspiration!!
