Thanks for letting us know it worked for you as well.
If I was a genious I would have managed this when I first started using Inkscape last year but at least I didn't give up, I kept trying every now and again and finally it all came together.

Please take my credit card away!!!!!!
Can somebody tell me where the tutorial section is please? I can't find it, lol (never having used it before doh!!!) and Matmoo's direct link unfortunately doesn't work.
I've still actually got 0.44 so better get a newer one I reckon.
Forget that...I've found it, lol.
Can't delete my post...I wish we could do that instead of looking like idiots, lolol.

I've had a few files sent to me because they weren't cutting and they all had the same problem, which was the stroke had not been assigned a colour and because people had the fill on they couldn't see this, so CR didn't have anything to cut.
I personally don't work with the fill on all the time and I don't work in outline for 2 reasons you can't see if you have the fill on and you get stray ghost cutlines, so I work without a fill and turn it on and off as and when.
If you are using .46 or .47 you can turn the fill off by looking at the colour bar along the bottom, at the far left there is a white box with a red X in it, right click on this and choose 'set fill' now you have no fill, if you want to fill the design, there are 2 ways to do this; select the design and left click any colour on the colour bar or right click on a colour and choose 'set fill'.
I hope this helps someone, especially if they are out there struggling alone.

Lucille, I just got ver. 46 devel to cut, and it was because of what you said about the fill and stroke, that make me check it again.
Thank you so much

Thanks Grace it's such a shame it won't work for the CR Pro crafters, lets hope the Inkscape people can get them that plugin.
