I made this by following Joyces's (2 Magpies) Interpolation tutorial. Shows what a good tutorial it is as this is my first ever design in Inkscape so thank you Joyce. The font is called Hibiscus which I also used to make the backing paper.
This with the smallest bit of artistic licence is in the village where I live. I have not cut it yet but I did think it would work great if you added a knight on his steed or Robin Hood type figure or a princess or even dragon to guard the tower.
I have been playing with this today. I'm not sure what the flowers are but I thought the are pretty. The card was for no particular occassion so you can adapt it for anything you want really. It was inspired by Hazel's poppy posted a while back. (Thank you Hazel for the idea) It is sized to a 5" square, I have used DT Flowers1 dingbat for the flower itself.
Last one for today... The little darlings are going to be home soon and want feeding (don't know why I fed them this morning) but you know what they're like
Anyway this one cut into a 5 inch square again inspired by Hazel's poppy a little while back. The dingbat I have used is capitol U in More Roses!
I really enjoyed working on these. Both are loosely based on some old Dover clipart. The designs cut upside down to get a full A5 size card. They both cut like a dream on quite substantial card
Hope you like them

I hope you're not going to get fed up with me bombarding you with flowers!
My dear little Mum is very sick in hospital at the moment with pneumonia and designing is the only way to keep me sane until the next visiting time
When the kids were little and I was worried about them I used to frantically clean the oven. Thank heavens for computers and CRs
