That is SOOOO awesome!!! I keep getting asked to create a video on how to make flourishes and this WILL be the answer for all cutter owners since you can export from Inkscape and into whatever other program you want to use for cutting.

How fab is that, thanks for sharing . Lucille, did you say someone is working on Robomaster friendly DXF files? That would make life so much easier for cutting via Robomaster.

OMG! I just tested it out and it's AMAZING! I created a quick flourish, saved it as a .eps file and imported it into KNK Studio and cut it out!
This is going to be hugely popular! And for those of you with DM, it will work exactly the same. Just export as .eps with a bounding box and import using the pdf filter.
The only thing is that it's not a stable release yet, so you might want to wait until 0.47 is official. Since I don't use Inkscape for anything else, it didn't concern me to go ahead and test it out.

My brain is already planning new swirls
Also you can download the tutorial for viewing later.
Ooooo !
This could truly convert me to inkscape as I want to learn flourishes and filigree
Can you tell me where to download it as I cannot find the 19338 revision

I'm passed that now, it's just Inkscape and RM for me, but will still use Illustrator to cut certain things, but if I loose that I won't be replacing it again, it is far too expensive.

Yes they are working on improving the DXF files, it will be a while but it is being worked on and seeing this video I don't think it will be that far away.

Sorry Carol nearly missed your post, there are tutorials for making swirls already in the tutorial sections. I will find the download for you and post it here.

I'm pretty sure that eps will import into PIS, but I haven't tested it myself. I'm sure the .dxf will also work... I just detest .dxf because it tends to be resized and broken up and all sorts of weird things. Anyhow, one of the Funtime or PIS users here should be able to tell us which format works best for converting files from Inkscape into any of the Sign Max versions of Win PC Sign.
