nestabilities in a cuttlebug
Am not having a lot of luck. have the cuttlebug embossing mat and have watched a video tut on youtube but the impression isn't as defined as I've seen on here.
Do I need the tan mat?

Hit or Miss Scrapper
To emboss I use mats A,C, stencil, card, black mat then B then pray it goes through and i don't break something as it's a very tight fit

Chief Thimble
i use A,C, and B plus the tan mat plus 3 extra pieces of card. I did buy the magnetic mat recently but haven't tried that out yet. It embosses perfectly with my current combination though

I think my missing element is the tan mat.
I've just ordered one. had thought I could get away with not buying one but ne'er mind

Spring Chicken!
When cutting with the Nestability I use A, C, die, card, B which works fine, then when I emboss the Nestability I use A, B, die, card, tan mat, 3 shims (I use 3 of the card bits which came with the Bug embossing folders or was it dies?) and B and that seems to work great, no great force for either.

Just feed some card on top of your layers till you get a deep enough impression M xxx

thanks everybody. The common denominator that I have missing is the tan mat. It's been delivered but the flippin postie has left a card rather than put it in the box- grrrr

Let the good times roll.........
I just tried it with the card wodges like Monica said and it worked really well. Just do the normal cutting combo of A, C, Die, card you want to cut then two extra scrap bits on top of the card then plate B.
Thanks for the tip Monica

Does the CB cut the nestabilities without an impression being left round the edge, until you choose to emboss? Thinking it may be easier to get rid of the bigshot and get a CB instead.

I say a demo at a scrapping convention a the w/end in Brisbane and they put the embossing folders through (of all things) a pasta maker - and it worked!!!.
