are you sure you are using the latest version of the software - I know you said you have 2.3, though the latest version is 2.4 I just took it as a typo.

I think the orginal was vers 1.2 - if you go to help > about in Robomaster it will tell you so just double check

ok, i am using version 2.3 so therefore i don't have auto trace.

my load file does have a coloured fill so i do need to worry about the registration marks.

my loaded file is no where near the registration marks.

Also wasn't aware there had been a version 2.3 of the software

You only need registration marks though if you have a picture that you want to print out and then cut round, and as said before it has to be traced round so robo knows where it's cutting

What the registration marks are for are so that it can line up acurateley the picture you have printed out with the cutlines as it moves through the robo

The registration marks will be printed in the cornes, it doesn't matter they are not near your design,
