Here are the sketches and designs for the April Challenge.
Julie from www.scrapbookingcastle.co.uk has suggested that at the end of each month, if 10 or more people have posted a card on the Monthly Challenge thread - we do a draw, and the winner will receive a small prize. This might be a sheet of stickers, length of ribbon, or a few brads/buttons etc. Just something small, but worth doing a card for I think and hopefully this will also increase interest and enthusiasm for the Monthly Challenges.
Hope you'll all join me in thanking Julie for her generosity and I for one will certainly be having a go
Thanks Julie
We have 4 different designs to work with this month so I hope you think I have something for everyone's tastes. Bit of stamping, some ribbons, flowers, cutesy and even a 'male' look
They are from:
Becky Fleck Pagemaps
Doodlebug Designs
Bazzill Basics
Hero Arts
Hope you like them and please, post your cards in this thread when they are done so we can all share.
Thank you for participating in this FUN challenge.
i'm so sorry for sounding dim but how do i take part in the challenge?
Just be inspired by the samples, make your own interpretations and then post yours on this thread to be admired and inspire others but most of all have fun.
Great challenges Janice thanks

Glad you like them The challenge will be changed on the first of the month, so if in between then anyone see's any cards/designs they would like included - just PM me a link and I'll keep a list.
So you make a card according to the template as opposed to a theme, is that right?
Sonia
Hi Sonia
The idea is that you take the samples/examples/sketches and go with the inspiration it gives you - either the design, the theme, the colours - anything to get the creative'ness flowing and more cards in your box
I was playing with bear die cuts over the weekend, and here are some baby cards I made, using the 4th example as inspiration - basically the landscape orientation and the double mat. I thought it would be difficult to get the bears looking cute, as I'm not very good at all with chalks, but it was surprisingly simple, which made me happy! The flower jewel in the bear's hair is actually pink, though the scan has made it look greenish.
