Please help - need ideas for wedding keepsake card

    Hi everyone,
I'm not much of a cardmaker but I am looking to make a wedding card for some very special friends (wedding is 27th Jan) - it needs to be something REALLY special due to their circumstances (please see first post http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/...93#post2870693 in this thread for details).

Please help - I know you ladies make some beautiful cards !
    Thanks

This is really difficult. They deserve a really special day. Maybe focusing on the theme of eternal love would be an idea. Something like including circles in the theme- which symbolise a never ending process. Perhaps a poem about love, written around a circle with a photo of them or something pertinent to them in it.
I hope this helps a bit- it's so hard when you want it to be perfect for them.
    Good luck to you all.

Nadja - would you like one of us to make the card for you ??? You could give us an idea what you would like ?

I was thinking that maybe an accordian type card with photos of them both in it would be lovely - or perhaps a miniature type flag-book card ... with details of the wedding written/typed on each of the 'flags' ???

Thanks for the great ideas - I love the eternal love - circles theme !
Thanks for the offer Hysteri-CAL but I think as this is such a personal thing I'd like to make it my self, I think it'll mean a lot more to them too.
But I have a lot of good ideas now so thank you everyone !

Perhaps you need to think of the card as a very-mini album: The cover is effectively a LO, but doesn't need to have any photos, and you can continue the theme with quotes and ephemera inside.

I did a special "card" for a friend's 20th wedding anniversary, for her to give to her husband, and I made an accordian card, quite small pages (about 3.5x5" or so) and each page was different, using their names on one page, a quote on another, the dates on another, a space for her to write (in a frame) on another etc. I kept the colours very simple, just cream and gold, and so I was able to use lots of "non-matching" stuff. It was tied with a ribbon. Once I got going it took me a bit longer than I thought, but it was easier too. She was very pleased with it, and says they will treasure it. Perhaps something like that could be a special card for this special couple.

If you need any more help just ask, any of us would be happy offer wedding embellies or quotes etc, I'm sure.

thank you so much for these they are beautiful - I'll have to compose myself after reading them or it'll be a very soggy card indeed.
Thanks again - I'm really excited to do this now !!
