how do i get & use free fonts

Hiya im always reading about free fonts ,tried downloading something but havent a clue how i use it,It just comes up with a sentence in the font and different sizes going down.How do i get to use it...!!!

hiya, you need to put the text file into your fonts folder. then when you open any programme that use fonts, your new one will be there

if the font you d/loaded is a zipped file you'll need to unzip it first

i found this on an earlier thread on here and use this (should thank someone but forgot who it was!)

Ok here is how I do mine (there is probably a shorter way...)
Download font to desktop
CLick on the ZIP/ RARicon which appears there and unzip/ extract the TTF file to the desktop
You should then get another icon which is the windows symbol with TTFon it
Drag this into your fonts folder in control panel
Check font is there and then delete the icons off your desktop....

Try www.momscorner4kids.com and then click on fonts then u can click onto font help !! i was in same position as u untill someone told me about this site . I know it is called 'fonts 4 kids ' but hey it really helped me and i had downloaded and printed out fonts within 30 mins !!!
