Thanks Susie, nice ideas.
Prognosis appears good, sounds like they have got him early, he went to doctor with IBS symptoms and they picked it up quickly. So all being well the surgery should do it, then 6 weeks recovery followed by regular checks over the next few years. We’ve heard of several people who have gone through it and recovered, fingers crossed
Sorry to hear your news Alison.
Unfortunately for my Dad it was too late. It’s a really unsettling time.
I do hope the op is a success.
Susie is right, I think that what she suggested is spot on.
Get well soon isn’t quite right.Thinking of you is more apt.
Ellie.
That is good news Alison. I saw the photo of my dad's tumour and it had been bleeding for ages and his blood count was 8 and it was only because he had terribly severe restless legs that I asked for a blood test to be done. Restless legs can be caused by lack of iron hence the need for the test. It still took 6 months to find out what was going on and yet because it was confined to the one spot and they removed lots of bowel, he was great and up and walking right after the operation because he couldn't lie in bed because the anaesthetic made the restless legs kick off.
He had no further treatment, no chemo or radiotherapy they said it wasn't needed. A friend of ours has just been in the same situation with the same result, sometimes the medical staff just seem to know. It doesn't make it any less worrying for the patient and their family but it is always nice to hear of the people who recover so well.
I am sure you will find just the right sentiment to put on the card.
Oh Alison..I'm so sorry to hear that. As others have said..Thinking of you covers a lot of things and seems to fit the bill well.
Susie..I looked for your papers and I don't think I have them after all..I thought I did but I have put a request in on a Retired Stampin Up group I belong to on Facebook. Sometimes demonstrators have them in their stash and are willing to sell them on. I'll let you know how I get on.
Elaine, thank you for that. I think it would be a great idea instead of retiring these papers if they saved them in a digi format so people could buy them and download them. Let's face it, some patterns never go out of fashion and those navy ones are really beautiful; such a shame to retire them and so typical of me to find them once they have been retired.
I love those cube letters Alison and a great idea to put the 60 in the middle! Sorry to hear about your BIL, I think that everyone is right about the 'thinking of you' sentiment.
Here are my cards for the challenge - knowing how big they always come out, I put two in each photo LOL. The papers are from a Kaisercraft range, which I can't remember ... Sea Breeze or Ubud Dreams? Elaine! I made another one, but the sentiment is not the focus, so I'll post in IMT thread.
Love your cards Wendy .
Are the weathered boards from the Basecoat collection, and the little
flowered one from Botanica, or Sea Breeze.
