I'm a BG "virgin" which collections would u recommend?

Never used any but got quite inspired by other peoples lo's so which would people recommend me starting with.
I know this is a dangerous question lol! For the bank balance it is anyway.

Totally agree!!! I think they're all gorgeous!!!! I have the mortifica, alyssa, black tie, lucky, fusion, blitzen.....and am slowly getting more of the collection. whatever you get i'm sure you'll not be dissappointed! Have you seen the new collection-the urban couture looks lush!! Let us know what you go for

havent seen any others in real life so difficult to comment

Skate Shoppe is perfect if you scrap boys.... I would also get black tie as there is a rumour going round that it will be discontinued

I also have and love Blitzen, Fusuon, Lolliepop shoppe, Hang10 and have UC on the way

well most of them but if I had to be ruthless then I'd choose, lollipop shoppe,skate shoppe,blitzen & color me silly, there I only spent about £50 instead of a couple of hundred how good am I

I love it all. What I would do is browse websites and buy selected papers from each collection. Buying a complete collection stops me from wanting to use it LOL I can't bear to use the papers and destroy the cohesiveness of the pack LOL. I'm a sad scrapper. In shops it is really hard to get the entire collection of anything so that might be a good place to start.

The new Urban Couture is gorgeous! I am also very fond of Skate Shoppe because I love turquoise.

I'd have a look and see what colours are in most of your photos and go for something that would look good with that,

I can tell you 100% this is NOT a rumour it is fact! I am so sad because I LOVE black tie. We got notification a while back in the Basic Grey retaillers newsletter that they ARE retiring it. It is still available until their stocks run out but onces it is gone it's gone.

Recommendations from me are:

Black Tie - very versatile because the patterns are black and white so they go with anything.

Sublime - one of the older ranges but it is Sublime by name and by nature

I love the colours in the new Urban Couture but any of the new ranges are lovely. Search in the gallery for different ranges and you will find examples to give you ideas. You also need to stop by and look at the galleries of a few people including:

In my opinion these girls will give you tonnoes of inspiration! I love looking at their work and as a Basic Grey lover myself I find it very inspiring to see what they do with their papers!

I have, Blitzen, Lollipop Shoppe, Lucky, Fusion, Vagabond, Jack and Alyssa and I have just ordered Urban Couture and Oh Baby Boy. I started off with just one pack to see what all the fuss was about! Collecting Basic Grey is as addictive as stash shopping! And then of course you Need the matching fibres and monograms!

I've just come back on to have a look at what you said. OMG I think I will be skint for a very long time lol.
I have an 8 yr old son and 11 yr old daughter so theres 2 lots already lol.
I will take your advice and look at the gallerys and see whats what.
When I eventually set up a galery I'll put some in.
