I joint just as this was going on the last time and so I didn't really get a chance to do the CC.... although I may well do this one .... just one question... do you have to down load much and do you have to be able to get your completed LO's onto here...

I would really like to know how they work??? ie how do you do a "class"!

    thanks

    Great, can't wait!

Bev, you have to upload your photos (I think) in order to get the points but you can still do the classes even if you don't upload the photos. The class tutor posts a word doc that you work from and there is normally a thread running for the class that you can pop onto for tips etc. It was my first one last year, so someone might be able to do a better job than me of explaining it!

I can't wait for the next one! I missed the last one due to morning sickness, but the previous one was my first and I absolutely loved being a part of it. I don't know how I'll manage the next one as I'll be about 8 months pregnant by then! No way will I be able to squat at my 'special' craft table (ie; the living room floor) then for a whole weekend!

Sounds lovely - trouble is; once gracefully reclined I'll not be getting up again!

OK, I don't know the official version, but the last UKS cybercrop, for me, was HUGE fun.

It is essentially a virtual crop, where classes are published at set times, you download the pdf file and do the LO or you save it and keep it to do another time. You upload your photo and you get points. Some of the sponsors join in and put kits together for the classes. Some of the classes have variations only for a specific team. You get a class list with suggested materials a few days/maybe a week ahead, but, honestly, you can use your own stash quite readily.

The way it is organised is that you are split into teams and the teams are competing (for nothing but glory! Scraptroopers rule OK!). There are pre-crop challenges, some of which carry points, others are for fun. as well as games, chat room fun, a raffle, prizes, challenges....... You have specific forums for the team you are in, and people go a bit mad with blinkies and graphics - especially SMAX

You must have a huge supply of snacks on hand, and don't forget to rehydrate as it is easy to get carried away The events go on all day and often through the night.

The last one was based on Star Wars, and I know this put a few people off, but the LOs and all but one or two of the games required no knowledge of SW!!! I loved it because I am a SW geek anyway.
