Stitching scanned layouts

can anyone give me a step by step guide to stitching 2 halves of a lo together - i always manage to get a line going through mine where they join.
i have photoshop v7

if you get one let me kow cos i can never get mine to work bar deleting two isripes on each side so the fuzzy over each other oh for a a3 scanner

I use the free stuff that is linked on here and most of the time it works, I've done one this pm where I had to stich 4 bits togeter for a DLO and thats ok
