Wish I had never started...
using Rub -On sentiments straight to a page, all it has done in places is pull the paper away. Would not have minded but I have spent all evening getting the LO right. (sob) What do you wish you had never started on a LO?

If they are the ones I bought from Hobbycraft, then they are rubbish. Took 3 of us to rub off ! quote that ended up taking the top layer of paper off! Will never use them again! Hope you can save your LO.

roll on November :) :)
Val I hope you can rescue your LO honey, there is nothing worse than having spent ages on a fab LO to have something go wrong at the last hurdle.

Oh which ones did you use. I use rub ons alot and find they work a treat. I tend to do a lift and rub action though as im pulling the backing off.

How many peeps can you get in a photo booth?
Oh you poor thing. That's very annoying and upsetting for you. Hope you can retrieve some of it. Perhaps in the morning things won't look quite so bad.

RIP Shaun my beautiful golden brother, always in my heart 10/01/79 - 02/09/03
I had some of these that were a NIGHTMARE!!! Do they have a very thick clear sheet that they are on??
Could you type up the quote onto vellum & attach to save the LO????

I had my cake and ate it too!!
This happened to me too, I worked hard on a new baby card and had to take it that morning all I needed to do was add the working. Then on adding the rub on it pulled the paper away from my card, I had to spend ages with glue and tweezers trying to repair the damage. It was brilliant but it was passable and the reicpients were still amazed at my handiwork so that was ok. But it really upset me.
What brands are you all having problems with and more importantly which ones DONT do this?

The EK Success adhesive remover is great for lifting rub-ons that are in the wrong place, we have it here

The ones I had big problems with were Rob on Sentiments by Royal & Langnickel Brush Mfg! Yes they are a thick clear plastic sheet.

Thanks everyone for the replies. The ones I used were the same ones as Tanya used by Royal and Langnickel Brush Mfg, ended up by putting a piece of cardstock over it. Have put the Lo to one side as I am not happy with it will most probaly re do it again when I can face it.Emma might have to think about getting a remover unfortunately however careful I was in doing it the rub down piece took the top of the paper away with it.

I'm sorry Sav ... just popped to see if you were able to rescue it. It will always grate with you so it probably is best to re-do it (when you've recovered sufficiently, of course).

been there, done that with those stupid rub ons.
I now don't buy them at all. My local craft shop has even slashed the price of them and i still won't buy them.
