Exclamation 2022 card challenge - August

    Morning all!

I'm posting the August prompt a little early, as I'll be away from my desk tomorrow morning.

The focus colour for this month is: Peach

I don't know about you, but I seem to have quite a lot of ink shades in my collection that fit into the peach bracket, and there's definitely some Distress Ink shades like Saltwater Taffy that will fit the bill.

So there's plenty of scope for multi-step stamping to from a light peach tone through salmon pink to a darker tone like papaya.

Without further ado, here is this month's pin-spiration....

    08 - August pinspiration.jpg

I look forward to seeing how you interpret it - remember I've listed a few tips over on the blog post for this month.

The full instructions and details for this year's challenge can be found in the intro post on my blog here.

Past prompts will all be tagged under 2022 card challenge on my blog, so you can find them easily in one place.

Also, for those of you on Instagram, I'll be using the hashtag #2022handmadecardchallenge to share my projects there, so feel free to use this tag on Instagram as well!

    Points for this challenge:
This challenge scores you 20 points. As with all the other UKS challenges, you can only claim this once a month.
But remember, you can also claim points for up to 10 cards you make in any month.

    Happy crafting!

    Thanks, Alison.

It doesn't have to be full on peach, I find it a lovely accent colour too - works great with Navy and nautical looks, with aqua, with grey, with cream...

MME used to use it a lot in their paper pads so who knows... I may need to dig them out. I'm thinking bold horizontal stripes in peach and cream or a chevron pattern... I'm sure something along those lines is in one of my paper boxes.

If I remember right, Crate Paper featured peach in their Christmas line last year and this... and it seems to be a popular colour for Cocoa Vanilla collections too.

But no doubt I will forget all this by the time I actually sit down at my craft desk and contemplate what to make!

That's quite a pinky/peach to my eye, in some places anyway. Not a colour I use either but then I doubt if I'll be crafting but I do have a 1st birthday card so I'll see if I can slip it in there. Oh, just remembered I have an 9th birthday card to make soon and a wedding anniversary card. I need to clone myself I think.

Here’s one from me. I went with the peach/aqua combo. I picked out a pile of peachy coloured papers but seem to have chosen the least peachy of them to use ! I liked the idea of the wordy paper. Inspired by the owls in the mood board too

Well they are both lovely Susie, but the 1st birthday card edges it a little for me simply because even the outfit is peach! Fab!

Thanks ladies, I'm not fussed on the first one. I was trying out something and it didn't really work but of course Este was very obligingly wearing peach but I am struggling to craft and can't even turn the handle on my die cutting machine now. I always use my right hand for the handle and that's out of action (the arm not the handle) and you'd think I'd be happier using my left hand being a leftie but no.

Dare I admit this... I actually made this card a good few weeks ago, but it has languished on my desk, along with a few other cards, just waiting to be photographed... oops.

So here it finally is, in all its peach glory...
