I have been making lots of blankets for Ukraine for a while. This is the last two and a bit weeks worthThey asked for baby blankets so these are the next 3. The smaller ones with grey are not my style but it was donated wool for those two and a lady asked if I could make two baby blankets for her donation .. there was only 4 balls of white and one grey so it was the only way I could get two out of it. I’m not a fan of granny squares really

They are really nice Karen, I rather like the grey and white combination. Very unisex.

Lovely Karen, and the colours are a bit different to the usual pink and blue.

Busy week! But catching up, those blankets are lovely. I taught myself to crochet (rather built on very minimal skills taught to me by my great-grandmother) when I was expecting Jack and still dabble a bit, although way more into knitting at the moment. I found a pattern to make Handmaids on the Addi 22 pin machine and whipped that up in about an hour.

Yes, a white or cream blanket is so much better than pale yellow or green, I think. And the grey is always a lovely neutral.

I love all of those cards Alison, each so different how do you think of all the different styles? Coming up with ideas I find very hard. I usually start out making one thing, find it isn't working, agonise over how to make it work and then having a blinding flash of inspiration and make something completely different to what I intended. Yes, I do make life very difficult for myself. It always starts with a piece of card I just have to use and then can't figure out what to do with it.
