Here are a couple of my Alliums in the garden

I'm gradually getting some more plants for the garden and plan to spend tomorrow out there. I've got 4 of my 6 pots for the front.

What stunning coloured Alliums Sheila, I keep meaning to get some but never seem to get round to it. I would definitely get that colour, just fabulous.
Those purples are amazing Elaine.
Our garden is wrecked and will remain that way until we can get the decking done. Still have to water though and try to tidy up the front garden and get some bedding plants too. Last years non-stop begonias are making a comeback.

When I look out of my craft room window all I can see are the chestnut tree and the laburnum both in flower and looking quite majestic. The wood pigeons love the pink flowers of the chestnut and they also eat the seed pods of the laburnum, so a source of food for quite a while.

Those Alliums are stunning Shelia and Susie how beautiful are those trees.
That’s such a pretty church too

Thanks Karen, the church is much prettier from the front and has some incredible gargoyles etc... and the most beautiful stained glass window. You can just see my neighbour's white lilac in that photo, the smell is wonderful.

Lovely photos Susie. Great trees and beautiful church.
Sheila, love your Alliums. I have lots in my garden.
Some are paler than others. I will post some, when I’ve resized.
Here is Architecture. A foot bridge over Church Lane at Stoke Hall, East Stoke.
I love the red brick.

So much stash, so little time
Super alliums (both), trees, bridge - just everything.
I have a 'marvellous' from yesterday: our electric bikes. There's no chance I'd be covering 26 miles on a non-electric one - they truly are marvels of modern technology.

Karen, there are 4 power settings. You still pedal and use gears ( I have 7 gears) as with a conventional bike, but the power helps going up hills, or into the wind.
We passed this piece of architecture - story below.
LD_castle1.JPG LD_castle2.JPG
The 14th-century castle was situated on a small island in a loch. The level of the loch was raised by 27 feet in the 1930s as part of an extensive hydro-electric scheme, so they dismantled the castle, stone by stone, and re-erected it on the loch side.

Beautiful alliums, one of my favourite flowers. I have loads, they’d just started flowering when we left so I’ll probably miss a lot of them while we’re away
Susie, I love your wood pigeon pics, the trees are beautiful. I guess the laburnum is not poisonous to birds then ?
And lovely little church too.
The bridge is quite a build for a foot bridge !
Interesting little castle, and story Margo, and my cousins wife was just telling me about her amazing electric bike, they sound great
I have some photos of Edinburgh but they are not loading on to my iPad at the mo, will check again later
