Hi ladies, finally back and thank you all for your kind thoughts. I had my covid antibody test yesterday and I am hoping that is what it was because it floored me and hubby caught something completely different both with the dreadful cough. Felt like a severe case of flu but I've never had that after a flu jab and hubby didn't have that, just the bad cough and very stuffed up.

You've all been so busy, I'm worn out just liking all the photo's.

Elaine, I think Evie is a better name too but hey ho, their dog, their name I suppose. Love the wild garlic photo and the blue bells.

    So many stunning photo's.

Off to see what else I've missed now, lots to catch up on. Oh Alison that photo of the sleep over is adorable, I would never want to sleep in my bed again either.

Maria, you are the image of your mum, lovely selfie. You won't be getting a selfie from me, I look rough on them at the best of times but right now - ugh!

Susie so good to see you back with us all

Here are the much promised photos of the patio refurb. Let's call them A for architecture and M for marvellous!

Stripped of artificial grass showing horrible paving (hence why we cover it) and the rusted old steps which came down to the side taking away such a lot of space.

    1.jpg

Close up of the full horror - rusted to pieces as we didn't treat it for the last two years as we knew we were replacing them but - well Covid and indecision

Cutting them up as they were so heavy even to remove on the truck

    patio-3.jpg

    2.jpg

    no steps

    patio-4.jpg

New steps coming in - and even they took four strong men to carry them

Karen that looks really lovely. As we say in these parts - "that'll be tuppence to come round yours then" , meaning it's all very posh!!!

Karen, that flower festival looks absolutely amazing !! The new stairs and patio look fab too.

Elaine, lovely photo of you with the dogs, and that wild garlic looks beautiful. I planted some in my wooded area last year, it’s come up nicely hope it spreads quickly !

The Glasgow botanical glasshouses are beautiful Margo.

Loving the architecture photo's, that last one is stunning Alison.

Karen, is that composite decking you've used? We have been looking into this for a while a can't decide which to have because they vary so greatly. Yours looks really lovely and the shape of the stairs is a lovely touch too.

Nice to be back Sheila, just need to remember the prompts now, I'm out of practice.
