April 2022
Welcome to the April Dare
Well I had fun looking through the many and varied national and international days celebrated this month and I have picked a few as a focus for the dare.
3rd April National find a rainbow day - so there needs to be a rainbow somewhere on your page
8th April national zoo day and 11th April national pet day - so there has to be at least two animals on your page - photos, embellishments, whatever you want
14th April international moment of laughter day - so the theme of your page has to be something that made you laugh - or that makes us laugh
22nd April international earth day - the earth is round so I have heard tell so you must include at least one circular piece of paper... could be a big circle, a punched circle etc.
23rd April world book day - Your title must be a book title
and finally I couldn't not include this as I just found it so funny that there was a say for this. April 10th is international safety pin day so include a pin of some kind. It could be a safety pin, a straight pin or even - if you are really stuck - a brad
So to summarise
a rainbow
at least 2 animals
a theme of laughter
a paper circle
a title that is a book title
a pin
Go on – I dare you!
Have fun and happy scrapping and remember the scrapping community is such a great community and we all share our inspirational pages with others and love being inspired by others in the wider scrapping community. Please can you make sure that if your page is created using a sketch, a scraplift or a class from others that you credit them when you upload your pages. Please also mention, if you upload elsewhere, that you created your work for a UKS challenge - it might drive even more people to play here.

My soul is fed by crafting.
For some unknown reason I don't really like rainbow embellies and thought I'd done well to 'get rid' of a load on a recent LO, strangely though, I know there are more in my stash, - not for long, determined to do this and get rid of another, LOL.
Well, all I can say is; What have scrapbooking and cardmaking manufacturers got against squirrels? I've searched my papers, stamps, wood pieces, everything and ended up having to find a clipart squirrel.
I've got deer, cats, dogs, thousands of butterflies, dragonflies, frogs, bees, a lizard, loads of birds, teddy bears, regular bear, a stoat, rabbits, hares, weasel with a pink hat, hedgehog, mouse, dragons, unicorns, elephants, hippo, lion, snail, sloth....
What's the betting I find a squirrel as soon as I use the downloaded one - one of which didn't print properly of course.
Here it is
