Exclamation 2022 card challenge - March

    Morning all!

This month, with the signs of spring already appearing, there is plenty of scope for Easter, Mother's Day, Spring, and uplifting card themes.

The focus colour for March is: Pastel tones (just one shade or many together!)

    And the pin-spiration is....

    03 - March pinspiration.jpg

I look forward to seeing how you intepret it - remember I've listed a few tips over on the blog post for this month.

The full instructions and details for this year's challenge can be found in the intro post on my blog here.

Past prompts will all be tagged under 2022 card challenge on my blog so you can find them easily in one place.

Also for those of you on Instagram, I'll be using the hashtag #2022handmadecardchallenge to share my projects there, so feel free to use this tag on Instagram as well!

    Points for this challenge:
This challenge scores you 20 points. As with all the other UKS challenges you can only claim this once a month.
But remember you can also claim points for up to 10 cards you make in any month.

    Happy crafting!

Pretty, pretty ice cream colours but some nice depth to the pinks too and a lovely turquoise in there, good one Nat.

And if anyone has managed to grab the new Distress shade, Saltwater Taffy, it really fits in with the colour pallet in the prompt.

Lovely cards both of you. xx

I wish I could motivate myself to complete some projects on my craft desk. Just not feeling it with current events and I can't seem to focus on anything, not even getting lost in an audibook for a bit of escapism.

I may just do something that doesn't require much creative thought, like cutting some dies from rainbow colours or something... no new inks to swatch out, but that sort of crafty task usually helped when feeling like this. But yeah, I definitely need some time away from the world outside to rebalance a bit.

I think everybody does Nat. It just drags you down sometimes.
Good idea to do something not too creative. I might try that
    Hope you feel better soon.

Sending you a big (( hug)) Nat. We’ve all been feeling like that. I’ve been struggling to craft and I’m sure it’s that I don’t want to do something so frivolous.
It is good to do something creative though it really helps with our mental health.
    Take care..xx

Oh Nat, I am the same, sitting with half done projects and must get on with them. I keep feel as if I'm being pulled in all directions. I do a bit of one thing and find myself doing something else next minute. Maybe we all have to cut ourselves some slack at the moment and be kind to ourselves and each other.

If I'm in my craft room I feel guilty because of all the work that needs to be done elsewhere and the paperwork!!! The only thing I'm enjoying at present and making time for is knitting, almost finished the little jacket for one of two babies due in April. Yikes!

Lovely card Elaine, that water lily is wonderful and I also love the embossing folder.

Ellie that is such a cute card, especially the little bird, so sweet. I can see the gold on the right side as well as the rest, it does show up. It is tricky to get a photo of mirri card though.

Nat, big hugs. We are all looking on in dismay at the dreadful things happening.
Susie, I feel your pain, I have so much to do and keep flitting from one thing to another, slowly progressing but I do feel guilty if I sit down to craft.

Elaine, and Ellie, lovely cards. I’ve had to make a couple of necessary birthday cards but not managed to fit to the prompt yet, I even bought a card for my nephew as I wasn’t feeling it !

    Take care everyone x
    Alison
