Exclamation 2022 card challenge - February

    Morning all!

I managed to pop on my computer before heading out for the morning, so the prompt is a little earlier than usual.

With January out of the way, the days getting a teeny bit longer, and spring on the way, I usually feel a bit more inspired to get cards made and already have a few ideas for this prompt. Let's hope I remember them when it actually comes to sitting down at my desk!

This month there's plenty of scope for special cards for the one you love, for celebrating friendships, and indeed any occasion.

The focus colour for February is: a pop of pink!

    And the pin-spiration is....

    02 - February pinspiration.jpg

I look forward to seeing how you intepret it - remember I've listed a few tips over on the blog post for this month.

The full instructions and details for this year's challenge can be found in the intro post on my blog here.

Past prompts will all be tagged under 2022 card challenge on my blog so you can find them easily in one place.

Also for those of you on Instagram, I'll be using the hashtag #2022handmadecardchallenge to share my projects there, so feel free to use this tag on Instagram as well!

    Points for this challenge:
This challenge scores you 20 points. As with all the other UKS challenges you can only claim this once a month.
But remember you can also claim points for up to 10 cards you make in any month.

    Happy crafting!

I worry myself sometimes; I thought a magnifying glass was an unusual prompt, until I realised it was a spoon in a mug! Oh dear....

LOL, well there's no reason you can't feature a magnifying glass - if you've got one.

well, including a heart being carried away (thank you, because it is what gave me the idea) here is my Valentines card for my DH.

He loves the comic strip characters Asterix and Obelisk, and Obelisk, the one carrying the heart is his favourite character. Both are copied from the book, and no doubt copyright images but well, Im not selling it and only you and him are going to see it. Ichanged it from him carrying a big rock to carrying a heart. The words translate as 'youve stolen my heart'. Only problme is the card is 12x6 and too big for my envelope punch so I am having to be creative with the enveloping too!

Brilliant Maria. I made a big card for Mabel for Christmas, so I just wrapped it in Christmas paper.

That sheet music is the perfect background Frances, especially for this challenge.

Well, I have two candidates to share for this month's prompt, always good to make a few cards while the supplies are out on your desk and you are feeling creative (which seems to be a rarity at the moment):

I was pleasantly surprised to see I'd stored a load of hearts from a previous crafty session using this cover plate die, so coloured the hearts in by stamping on them for the first card and smooshing the hearts into the ink pads for the second... won't be repeating that one with foam ink pads again as the cardstock soaked up far too much ink. lol Took ages to dry!
