Yes I’d love to see the older special ones too.
Happy memories of calmer times Karen but I’m sure you’d rather have your boys any day of the week!
This is our village shop… with lovely window displays again. It is allegedly the oldest shop (still going) in the UK going back to 1453.

Those coordinated trees look wonderful, so pretty and stylish.
It's no surprise decorating your DS's tree was emotional, Elaine. I'm sure it helped having you there, and the crying was only natural.
Impressive shop display, Elaine. If only the shop could talk, eh? I imagine the event for Miss A was a bit forced, but that's as much down to the circumstances, and I'm sure everyone involved did their best to sprinkle a little happiness even for a short time.

Wow,what a gorgeous village store ! Wish ours was even close to looking like that, and do you still have the post office working there ? We have a mobile one that comes to the shop just two mornings a week now.

Forgot to post pic of Lara with her advent calendar this morning…

Aww Alison, that’s a lovely photo.
Some lovely trees Elaine, I can see them all now.
The shop looks beautiful. Lots of work gone into that.

Lovely trees being shared. Mine is still in it's box but hoping to do decorating at the weekend if not before. Understandable about the tears Elaine, as has been said earlier, the first everything is the hardest when you lose a loved one. Love your village shop, we don't have anything like that near here, just big supermarkets. I've got my last craft group here on Saturday morning, then start planning for next year.

    Lovely advent pic Alison.
    Smashing lamppost Karen
Then Post office is open two mornings a week. To be honest it’s 2 miles to that shop in 2 miles to another shop where the post office is open five days a week so I tend to go there for the post office.
I have lived here since 2008.

Lovely pictures and you are braver than us … still no restaurants with others for us … we’ve only eaten out a handful of times since March 2020 and only at odd times when we have known restaurants will be empty. I worry I will never be able to be ‘normal’ again. My anxiety stops me.

    Nice lamp post Karen
Elaine that looks like fun, and lovely photo of you.

Margo, here are those baubles. The small ones are in the original cardboard box
My favourite is the little bird. He clips on the tree with a very rusty metal clip !!!

Oh Ellie they are absolutely delightful! I adore them. So reminiscent of my childhood.
We did all take a lateral flow test before we went and we had the restaurant to ourselves so it was very safe. Far safer than our fair a few weeks ago although I confess I didn’t take my visor off all day then.

Oh I know what you mean Elaine. I was masked all the time I was at the fair and will be on Sunday although the lady organising the event sunday is so much better - it has all been risk assessed, everyone has to wear masks, all doors and windows will be open and she has put me right by the door as she knows I am very nervous (and warned me to wear thermals!!)

I have been doing lateral flow tests daily since the fair. It doesn't worry me so much getting Covid, it worries me that Nigel will get it. Thats a much bigger fear for me
