    Thanks Ellie
Miss A went to a charity do today for bereaved children to meet some Disney princesses. Here she is with Cinderella after having her face painted

Lovely pics of Miss A Elaine, did she say how it made her feel or was it just a fun experience?

What a great idea and so glad for Miss A that she had that.

I love your tidy tree Elaine, you would ahte mine, it is very random compared to yours but filled with 'tacky but cannot part with' type decorations. however we decorated the house and tree and branch yesterday and went a bit OTT and I found my delicious glass 'liberty' unicorn (no prizes for guessing where i bought him) that I had forgotten about until i saw the bag yesterday.

So I have a raffy for you in his christmas hat and also helping with the decorations (!)

    raffybat (600 x 270).jpg

and I expect you are wondering about liberty, so here he is
    lib (600 x 493).jpg

and finally, here is my somewhat random (compared to Elaines) tree

Maria, Raffy looks happy in his hat
Love your unicorn and I like random. Mine is always random.
Like you I have baubles that I wouldn’t part with.
We have some of DH dads from the 50s.
Love your room, looks very cosy.

    Love the mini trees, Alison.
Elaine, I hope Miss A had a fab time - just desperately sad about the circumstances, obviously. That is one stylish tree you have! You have set the bar high (too high for me, LOL).
Maria, fun to see the photo of Raffy 'helping', though I bet you have to have eyes in the back of your head.
Like you and Ellie, our tree will be decorated with random stuff collected over the years. Ellie, can we have photos of your DH's dad's baubles, pretty please?

When I get them down Margo. Although don’t know if we will decorate this year, as we
are hoping to go to DDs, if we aren’t restricted again.
So not much point in decorating.

Oh for goodness sake. My tree is also full of totally indispensable precious ‘tat’ too.. it’s just hidden amongst the coordinated bits. When I do the white tree that will be emotional. It’s full of memories! Mainly of my Mum who always bought me a Swarovski Crystal snowflake each year.. which is where I got the idea for Alex’s star. Since Mum died I have bought my own. I have about 15 years worth now bought between us. They are collectors pieces so getting quite valuable now. My favourite piece by far though is a Tinkerbell I bought in Main Street, Disneyworld, Florida.. it’s probably worth about 50p! Lol
Amber did enjoy it but DS said it all felt a bit ‘forced’ and wouldn’t want to rush back which is a bit of a shame.
The tree dressing with A & A was really emotional. Every bauble had a memory and we all ended up in a group hug with lots of tears.
    Here is the end result

I love all the trees and gorgeous pics of Miss A … sorry the event felt forced though. Love the idea of the Swarovski but with cats and my clumsiness not appropriate for me.

Love the photo of Raffy … I wish mine would wear a real hat… and the room looks so cozy and inviting.

We are not having a tree this year but no surprise to know I don’t do random either …Elaine and I are very similar.

But I am adding a pic from last year so I can at least enjoy it and remember it

Loving all the trees. I’ve had a coordinated tree since the year I had my own tree, I have baubles stored according to colour ! I also buy tree decorations where ever we travel so I have a more random, mixed tree too. One day I will make an album of my trees and my decorations.
I will share this years once they are decorated, managed to get the lights on one, so may let Scarlett help me decorate it later. Every time she sees trees and lights she says ‘wow’, it’s lovely to see the amazement of the little ones

Lovely pics of Miss A, maybe it felt forced because it was their first experience of that kind of thing. It’s nice that they do things like that. I’m sure this will be a very emotional Christmas for you Elaine

Ellie, I’d love to see your old baubles too
    Alison
