Exclamation 2021 card challenge - August

I'm just popping in to post this prompt a little early, as I won't be around in the morning.

This month's image has some very obvious card-friendly design elements, but also some out-of-the-box interpretations that immediately came to mind for me.
As always, the way my brain works is a mystery, but sometimes the totally random interpretations it comes up with can be fun to incorporate in a card project.

The focus colour for July is: Blue (from icy pale blues to rich, deep navy blues)

    The Pin-spiration is....
    08 - August pinspiration.jpg

I look forward to seeing how you interpret it - remember I've listed a few tips over on the blog post for this month.

The full instructions and details for this year's challenge can be found in the intro post on my blog here.

Past prompts will all be tagged under 2021 card challenge on my blog so you can find them easily in one place.

Also for those of you on Instagram, I'll be using the hashtag #2021handmadecardchallenge to share my projects there, so feel free to use this tag on Instagram as well!

    Points for this challenge:
This challenge scores you 20 points. As with all the other UKS challenges you can only claim this once a month.
But remember you can also claim points for up to 10 cards you make in any month.

So all that remains for me to say is: Happy crafting!

Stunning colours, probably won't join in because I'm starting the big clearance out of my craft room to redecorate, but you never know. Thanks Nat.

Oooh good luck with that job Susie! I don't envy you, but it will be all worth it in the end.

Thanks Elaine and Alison, I'm glad those random ideas provide some inspiration. I end up going back to my list of "ideas" when it comes to sitting down and making my card, as those ideas tend to disappear if I don't write them down.

I managed to make part of my August card at the weekend, but hope to finish it off soon (had to wait for paint to dry) and get it photographed this week.

Elaine, your first card for this callenge is lovely! That print you've got in yellow really echos the print in the prompt photo, a great find. Really looking forward to seeing what else you come up with.

A lovely card Elaine, I especially like the trailing embossed flowers.

Already this is turning out to be the job from hell Nat. So much stuff, it might even be said, too much stuff.

Fab card Maria. Sometimes the simple cards are the most effective so don’t put yourself down. It’s a lovely card.

Lovely card Maria, and a great sentiment front and centre.

Love that blue dimensional teapot card too, really nice with the pops of yellow in the flower centres.
