My sweetpeas are sadly, unscented because they are everlasting. I have a pink variety and a white one but I am thinking of planting normal sweetpeas in amongst them next years although the scent will drowned out by the star jasmine, it is everywhere. The other thing I am waiting to see bloom is my polianthes tuberosa, I believe the smell is incredible.

Shame about your allergies to sweetpeas though Ellie and Elaine. Is it just that flower in particular then?

I love sweet peas, luckily I don't suffer sneezes from them. Yvonne & Doug came over today and between us Doug & I painted my newly plastered wall and ceiling. I was so so hot. I feel totally shattered now. I'm going to have a couple of days off now before doing them both again. I'm going to wait until the weekend in the hope it rains and will make it cooler. I'm going to have a shower soon and have an early night.

My yellow cosmos are such a delicate colour, almost pale primrose and mixed in with everything else they look so pretty. Here's the everlasting sweetpea too. I took this a few days ago so even more have flowered now.

Oops we have a sideway one, never mind. I have more yellow and these made me smile. One our way back from The Range we drive through an industrial estate, a small one and they had these lovely planters on the railings all the way along full of begonias and of course a yellow one too.

Lovely Susie. Love your lemon cosmos.
    Enjoy your early night Sheila.
Here are my hollyhocks. They have done really well this year and I’m pleased because we haven’t succeeded with them previously.

    Aww so sweet Elaine.
Love the Hollyhocks. I noticed one of mine is flowering today.

Nice cosmos Susie. You have a lot of everlasting SP. I had a pink one, but it was overtaking everything,
So it had to come out. It’s only this year that I have sneezed at SweetPeas
So perhaps it’s just this variety. They ar3 new this year.
    Ellie.

I have sweetpeas but they are perennial and have no scent. Shame they make you sneeze, Ellie and Elaine.
Susie, shame for you that you are allergic to your dog. That must be very frustrating - you can hardly leave him out on the patio table, LOL. Liked all your photos though, and yours Elaine. We tried hollyhocks years ago, not very successfully, so I'm impressed with yours.

Margo, he went out into the back garden whilst I was watering the front. Hubby was out there but he came in to go in the shower and the poor old boy ended up locked out. He was quiet but completely distraught when I found him and he followed me round like he was superglued to my thigh. You did make me laugh at the thought of sticking him on a patio table. Are your sweetpeas the same as mine the everlasting sweetpea which comes back each year?

Ellie, I know what you mean about them overtaking everything. Mine has taken off in one part of the border and has tangled itself into the blueberries, strawberries and tomatoes. It's a thug but a pretty thug.

Gorgeous hollyhocks Elaine and the doggy photo's are super, love the way the tongue is sticking out.

Lol..love the idea of Young Mr Grace being left on the patio table!
My sweet peas are outside because DH suffers with the allergies rather than me. I can’t have. Any flowers indoors during summer especially but he does suffer them at other times of the year. Good job my birthday was in March! Mind you..some had to be relegated to other rooms because of it.
    Another hot one here today!

Oh my your flowers are gorgeous ladies ... all of them.

My garden is pretty much totally and utterly ....green! Lots of shades of green but green none the less. The only colour is from bright orange day lilies and I have no idea where they came from as I didn’t plant them and they come each year.

    These make me smile

My sweetpeas became so overloaded with flowers that despite tying them up they collapsed. Fortunately, we managed to gently lift them and tie them up even higher so they are bit unsightly because they are tied up at 2ft, 4ft and now 6ft , they probably don't look tha tall in the phot but they are huge.

Fabulous photo's Karen, I remember one of our cats loved an ice cream on a warm day. These days they say don't give cats milk but all of ours loved milk without any problems.

Oh wow, some lovely flowers !
I’ve never had any success with hollyhocks, what’s the secret, I’d love to have them, I thought they grew like weeds, but not here !
Your sweet peas are lovely Ellie, shame they are bothering you. I have them every year but I never have a lot of success, I don’t think I water them enough. They were fabulous as young plants I grew from seed but now they look a bit weedy. I think our week away didn’t help.
I love the everlasting sweet peas, I had three different colours growing over a fence, I never found them a problem as they die back every year, must find a spot to put them in this garden somewhere.

No Karen, they are not at all spoilt
    Elaine, your dog looks comfy.

Here’s my smile of the day, she’s just so scrummy !

She is adorable Alison and that is such a special photo, just the way she's looking at her card, which is very pretty too.
