Brilliant Doreen! I had never heard of buffalo checks, but can see there are lots of possibilities with it. Think I need to go and watch the tutorial as well!

I made mine in Inkscape as that was the software the lady was using Ruth but you can use the knife to slice things in Studio.

Oh thanks Doreen. Shall try that. I made a buffalo cutting file last night but the outer edges were left lose. So tried again made a compound
frame and attached the the buffalo cut file to it. I shall try the knife to do the slicing. Happy crafting everyone.

Hello, Doreen i tried knife tool but did not work. also tried subtract then grouped did not work.tried crop and intersect also did not work.
I think knife is an Inkscape function that the cameo don't have. I tried to download Inkscape registered but no program. lol

There is a knife in Studio for cutting things Ruth...... Inkscape doesn't have a knife. I've watched the video again to refresh my memory. I'm not sure how the one in the video would cut because the outer edge isn't attached to anything that's why the one in my first picture (although not exactly the same as in the video) is welded to a frame and I did the same for the second picture before I cut it.
