detest spiders, eek, its the only think I am really afraid of. I freeze and become a gibbering wreck

Ive done my book review now, those of you who are playing. sorry to be long, I am not a accurate typist so it took a while, but done now. Yes I know this comment isnt in the right place but i dont want to clutter that thread with chat whilst people are posting. Ignore me if im being too bossy.

I had a nice ride this morning, the new horse's owner came out with me and she asked if she could bring her 7 month old border collie, so we took that and also my border collie who is very used to it and also petty obedient as only border collies can be. Anyway, blimey, hers was a bit of a nightmare, she isnt firm enough with it (IMO) and her horse soon got fed up with it and ended up kicking the collie. The collie wasnt badly hurt and it did calm down after that (it was previously barking hysterically and snapping at the horse legs) but the girl had to get off at least 4 times during our hour long ride to go and get the collie back from whence it had disappeared! I tried to tactfully suggest some basic training such as 'lie down' and 'come here' before she atemtps it again. Mine was a paragon of virtue by comparison. I dont think the girl is firm enough with her horse either though, as that also yanks her around a bit.

there elaine, you wanted chat and youve got my horsey waffle instead...

Then my friend Ute came back here to see about the watering whilst we are away and we had a few drinks.... I havent been very productive this afternoon and had to have a lie on the lounger for a bit and snooze in the shade. DH is gardening, pulling up the weeds and grass round some young trees we planted - Raffy is 'helping', he lies nearby and pounces out on DH's hands whenever he reaches for a weed, he thinks its a game!

Evening snappers, I've been out all day today - I went to my friend Liz's to get some wire-work advice and then she said shall we go out for some lunch, so we went to a pub for lunch then went to the range, sainsbury's and next, then I took her home. I came home and she's left her tea in the car so after the rush hour I've got to drop that off for her. Enjoyed being out and about and I bought myself 2 tops and a dress, slapped wrist!

Lol..slapped wrist indeed Sheila. Sounds like you had a nice day anyway. I went on an Open Studio tour on Weds but didn’t see anything I loved but I did buy a couple of inexpensive pairs of earrings and one lady said she would like to exhibit my paintings in her gallery so I am really pleased that I have found an outlet for them! The hardest thing is thinking up a name for them..she domestic want ‘Untitled’ as a name. Now I just need them to sell!

Good morning all. Overcast and a nice cool breeze today - at the moment. May get sunshine later on.

Nothing much planned for today so will go with the flow.

    A smiler for you -
DGS got a "signature" in school yesterday (a kind of black mark, get 5 and you get detention) and from the sound of his version he didn't really deserve it anyway. So, they have to present their day planner book to the tutor and he / she signs it and adds a number to indicate why they got this. Well, there was quite a pile on this tutor's desk by the end of the lesson. they got knocked on the floor and he picked them up. BUT DGS's landed in the rubbish bin and the tutor didn't notice, so DGS went and picked it up and carefully added it to the middle of the pile that had already been signed!!!! Well, I know I shouldn't have laughed but I couldn't help myself. I told him that his Grandad would be proud of him!! He was a bit of a Jack The Lad himself as a kid. This tutor is notorious for handing out signatures for the slightest thing - the school publishes a league table of which tutors have signed how many at the end of each term and this chap is consistently top of the list by loads of them. If he thinks he is inspiring respect from his students by doing this he is SO wrong.

    Have a good day all.

Elaine that is fabs selling your paintings. I wouldn't have the confidence for that - I am already worrying about our exhibition coming up.

    Alsion huge congratulations x

Went for a tottle around a local walled garden today which as pretty and we had cake and tea in the garden in the sunshine. It is also the site of a beautiful church we love with gorgeous clear etched glass windows (and it is where T E Lawrence is buried as he lived nearby)

What is the exhibition? Your paintings are really god you shouldn’t be worrying about it. The gallery wants canvases rather than mounted paintings though so I only have a couple on canvases but I’m going to take them in next week and see what she thinks.
    I’ve been gardening.,phew it’s hot out there!
