Exclamation 2021 card challenge - Feburary

    Good morning!

Well, we've hopefully all managed to survive the January blues or greys if you're talking about the weather up here... and February is here.

I'm not a maker of Valentine's cards, but I have a soft spot for the colours, paper collections, and design elements associated with that day. They're really versatile and hopefully the focus colour and pinspiration for this month will give you lots of ideas.

The focus colour for February is: Pink

    The Pin-spiration is....

    02 - February pinspiration.jpg

I look forward to seeing how you interpret it - remember I've listed a few tips over on the blog post for this month.

The full instructions and details for this year's challenge can be found in the intro post on my blog here.

Past prompts will all be tagged under 2021 card challenge on my blog so you can find them easily in one place.

Also for those of you on Instagram, I'll be using the hashtag #2021handmadecardchallenge to share my projects there, so feel free to use this tag on Instagram as well!

    Points for this challenge:
On top of the standard 5 points per any card you make, if you make a card for the monthly challenge you can claim an extra 10 points!
As with all the other UKS challenges you can only claim this once a month.

So all that remains for me to say is: Happy crafting!

Thanks Nat. I don’t usually use much pink, so a bit of a challenge.

It might be a struggle for as most of the birthdays coming up are for men. There might be a chance with one later.

Well I was hoping for inspiration for DH's b'day, but maybe this will be for a lady I have to make a card for instead. What is the B/W windows pic? All I can think is it's a poodle in the square, with (human) legs.Thinking...

I don't think it is the image Nat has posted for us to use it is the washi tape it is attached with. I'm guessing from the prompts on the blog.

Karelyn, have you looked at the blog post that goes with it? There are ideas for male cards..black and white, travel elements, diagonal stripes etc. There are lots of ideas for male cards on there too. Handy you have a pink card to make too though.

Here’s a card I made for a commission. D1BC0842-4A3E-43CF-A48E-E2D875B44FB8.jpeg. For some reason it looks like there are blemishes on there but there isn’t IRL

A lovely selection of cards Elaine and great use of those heart elements.

I'm so glad someone went with the Paris theme, Ellie! Lovely card with those ephemera details.

With any luck I'll get a card made this weekend. I certainly die-cut enough hearts to last a few months for an idea I had, but not had time to actually assemble anything.
