I didn’t notice they had gone up. I checked the deposit was refundable before I booked it. They are going fast though. I’m taking the dogs though so that totally narrowed down the searches..not many places let you take three dogs. You shouldn’t find too many difficulties..unless you want to dog sit my three for the week and take them with you?

So much stash, so little time
Seems like we all have the same idea! Last week we booked a week in June, on the Moray coast. Hope we're not being too optimistic, as our timetable is slightly different from yours down south. Ours is fully cancellable until a week before we go, just in case.

Absolutely gorgeous Mary. It does lift the spirit to see blossom.
Elaine... Err , one dog is enough, but 3 , sorry no thank you.
Margo, that sounds nice, and Sandra hope you get to go this time.
I’ve just looked at a place we have been before near Bath, in a cabin.
It’s gone up to £1,000 for 5 nights. !!!! Last time it was about £650.

Wow! That’s steep. We have booked a detached cottage for 7 nights for £450. It’s not top spec luxury admittedly but it looks very nice and is a stones throw from the coast and nature reserve which will be good for the dogs. It’s all about location..and availability!
Ellie..where’s your spirit of adventure?
Your trip sounds nice Margo.
I hope to get a few days away later in the year to the New Forest (without the dogs) too Sandra. I have to convince DH first though...and hope the timetable for the road map doesn’t change either!

We are not booking anything yet either. IF - and that's a big IF - we do manage to get away I want to go to Greece (well, obviously!!) but will wait until the very last minute to see what the situation is both here and there. We know plenty of very quiet locations - hardly any tourists - that we could head for. Also our family issues will have a bearing on this as well. but, come what may, I hope you all enjoy whatever you end up doing.
