HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARGO! someone knows you well then. It's my birthday tomorrow and at one time I didn't know anyone who had a birthday in January and now I know lots. That card was just brilliant.

I'll have to go backnow and see what I've missed, a lot I reckon.

Love that funny Margo. Happy birthday to you.
No he won’t have to go back unless more lumps appear at least!
    Hasn’t stopped raining here today.

Thanks all. It was a good one wasn't it? From my brother

Good news about the dog, Elaine. It has rained here all day too. I had to go out in it to post a card I'd made. It's my friend's birthday at the weekend. We normally have a shared celebration lunch - but it'll have to be postponed this year! We'll enjoy it all the more. Just ordered a Chinese takeaway for tonight, yum, and will do a video call with the family.

    A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARGO.
    Your card made me laugh.

Elaine, sorry about your dogs lump, but hopefully they will have
    got it all.
Also sorry about Harry. I hope he does get better, but that’s another worry for you.

Oh so sorry to hear that one of the lumps is actually a cancer. Did they say what sort? Some can be so slow growing that by the time they take off the dog is at the end of its life anyway. It's just not what you wanted to hear Elaine and yet more bad news. What about the lump they didn't remove, are they going to check that but then is it even worth it, I wouldn't bother? You know there is one problem and that is enough to make you alert to others. One of ours had a squamous cell carcinoma on her pad and it was removed and never came back again, whether it appeared elsewhere we don't know but she lived to 14 and half and a torsion took her. Every day now I wait to see if our old guy is still with us. That said he was out for his walk today in the pouring rain and not in the least bit impressed. Have to keep their muscles and joints moving though and ours for that matter. How is Harry today?

Ellie, the old guy hasn't had any mishaps but the other old guy, the human one, fell asleep and threw a can of Pepsi in the air and it went all over the suite and carpet. When we had the suite Teflon coated hubby thought it was to protect it from the dogs but the times he's fallen asleep and spilt stuff all over himself and the suite I've lost count of now. I can highly recommending having the furniture protected with a Teflon coating.

Oh Maria, fancy you once having a horse called Sweet William, quite a few of us on here are big fans of the flower by the same name. Sorry about the doggy details Maria, I'm just toughening you all up, after all we come on here to share - good and bad, unfortunately, we have more bad than good at the moment. Be glad you're not our vet, I sent him a photo one day and he looked at it over breakfast. I'll try to go easy in future but I can't promise anything. Lovely photo's of the horse, what a beauty what is his name again you must have said? Our tests only arrived today and hubby's was leaking the fluid the swab has to sit in so we had to order another for him.

Apart from that (touch wood) we both feel fine.

I showed hubby the workings of fluency and he could not believe how complicated it is. Whatever will they throw at you next Elaine? How does Amber find it, does she pick it up okay? I'm horrified that they don't do times tables now, they stand you in good stead right through your life.

Alison, it must be nice for you to know that Cookie is being looked after so well. You really can't miss a day on here can you.

Yiayia, I'll bet DGS's granddad wasn't popular with his teacher. Which way did DGS carry on with or did he have to stick with what the school taught him?

Is your eye okay now Ellie? I have to say your Hellebores are much prettier colours than mine. I have two very dark almost burgundy coloured ones as well as the white but some aren't doing anything at all at present and I couldn't tell you what colour they are.

Hope you're feeling better today Mary.

I'm going to have a knit now. I've had another fast day today so just a couple of scrambled eggs and ham early on and a mug of Bovril after our walk. We'll be eating shortly, something with salad, off to see what we have in. When I've got back to my normal weight I'll be tucking into the big box of Maltesers I still have stashed from Christmas. I have it all planned if the dogs allow it. I'll put the electric blanket on and lie on the bed and read and eat the Maltesers - heaven.

Okay so this is cheating but this is S for Silly Mummy who, during lockdown, has bought her children guitars only from Argos or somewhere like that. What was she thinking, why not just give them violins or a drum kit and have done with it.

Susie the horse is called Nougat. Had a laugh at your teflon furniture, sounds like you need it in your house one way or another! Shocking that your tests have only just arrived and one faulty, i mean no wonder there are so many problems if the system is so slow.

Hope your chinese was good Margo

Why on earth is it called fluency and not maths? And why on earth dont they learn times tables anymore?
