Well, last month was a wedding for me, this month sadly we had a funeral.

I made a 6m ivy Garland to go round the coffin

    And a photo board

That's super, I love ivy. Those coffins look so comfortable, which is silly I know, but my dad's was like that and I felt is was a gentler kind of coffin, very nice.
    Lovey photo board too.

I know what you mean Karelyn, much more comfortable looking, traditional coffins look so austere.
The whole funeral had that same comfy cosy happy feeling as it was a green burial in a woodland. The building we had the service and wake in was very ‘natural’, a log cabin type feel. My nephew organised proceedings and it was definitely a lovely family affair.

yes I agree, and it does look much better, I would much rather that and also the whole funeral sounds so special and personal Alison.

I have spent the day 'distressing' this cabinet I bought in a boot sale recently for the downstairs bathroom which is having its theme changed to nautical next year (we only use it in summer). DH is most unimpressed. He was quite pleased with the cabinet when we got it for a tenner, and doenst see why having spent 18 euros on chalk paint and wax, it looks, to him, worse than it started. men eh?

    here it is before

    and after

I also rather like it. The 'before' was ok but now it is more stylish methinks.

Those tributes are all beautifully done and are very touching, Alison.
Maria, the 'after' version will suit your theme much better than the 'before' version. Don't listen to him!
Elaine, great mountains. The range of colours really provides texture. You definitely have an artist's eye.
