Love that test Sheila, I'll do it tonight. You soon get into the hang of picking up the stitches.

My sister was here today because her car had to go in to have the cam belt done. Then the builder turned up. So it was masks and social distancing and lots of cleaning afterwards for me. Got on with paperwork too, it's a minefield. My sister was smiling until I told her she is going to have to do ours when we pop off and good luck with that mess. I'm so busy dealing with everyone else's ours is just awful.

Funny, I felt okay when I got up and started to go down hill not long after so wondering how much of it is pure stress.

Another beautiful day here and the boys are seemingly on the mend. Off to the vet's tomorrow to see where we go from here. Poor hubby is still sleeping on the sofa - dogs are loving it.

Alison, I would agree with Ellie and that way you can't go wrong.

Elaine, I hope you get sorted soon. Are the palpitations when you are busy or at rest? During the menopause mine were when I was resting. Now I can get them quite randomly and the menopause is long gone but you can have hormonal upheavals even well after that is finished. Didn't get any though when I was being dragged along the road by the dog yesterday but I can be relaxed at night reading and they can start then.

It looks like a curry plant Mary. Pick a bit and smell it and see. I think it’s name is Helichrysum? Or similar.
Love that sign Sheila...and yourS Ellie.
My palpitations are at rest Susie. It seems every time I sit down they start. I’m more or less at the end of my menopause now? Glad the dogs have settled down.
    I can’t sleep tonight!

Both my sister's and mine were always at rest. You can't imagine how when you are relaxing, especially miles away in a book and suddenly you feel that fluttering/racing and jumping in your chest. Always good to get them checked out but don't be too surprised if they find nothing wrong. My BIL has gone all year with problems, told he had atrial fibrillation, he was actually collapsing, breathless and could barely move. We were all so worried about him because the attacks came on randomly. Having done numerous tests his heart is actually fine and it seems more like strange panic attacks though what over we don't know.

Off to the vets with the young guy today. He is on the mend but we need to know if this needs further investigation. We were supposed to be taking the old guy but he will have to wait for now and we'll book him in next.

All the upset of the lockdown and rules and regulations altering all the time can and does bring on panic attacks. I can’t wear a mask because they make me panic so much I’m just hoping that they don’t say that the shield isn’t good enough just thinking about it makes me feel panicky and fluttery in the chest and throat

I would think most people would accept a visor type face mask and some people are exempt Mary. It's not as if you aren't using anything so I wouldn't worry too much. Some of the masks make me want to cough.

The young guy was doing so much better, the vet is pretty much ruling out vestibular for a number of reasons but the flickering eye thing isn't there at all and wasn't right at the start, no nausea and walking in circles. Not a brain tumour because he wouldn't be improving so we are going with a stroke. Will it happen again, possibly but what do we do at his age. Today he came upstairs fine and then raced down and his legs went three stairs from the bottom and he fell but seems to be okay. Will he learn, not at all, so for now hubby is staying downstairs with them. We're going to try and put the baby gate at the top of the stairs so if we get them up tomorrow night they can't try to come down on their own.
