Morning all, Sorry I’ve not been chatting, not used to leaving the house at 8.30 and working every day !
It’s not been too bad really, August is our quiet month, and it’s been nice to catch up with things

Susie, hope you are better soon. Has that come on as a result of all you’ve been doing recently, worrying and caring for everyone ? Do look after yourself xx

Nice kitty but I’m with Ellie, I don’t like cats on the kitchen surfaces.

Mary, those kittens are enormous! But they look very cuddly too

Ellie, sounds like you had a nice drive out the other day, presumably in the Hull area. It’s good to take the time and just take a good look around you.

Elaine, that pool looks good, didn’t the dogs get in with you ?!
So sorry to hear about MIL, and DIL’s mum, what a time you are having. Big hugs to you all, your poor DS has a lot on his plate, and now there the fear for Miss A too. My DD’s friend lost her mum to breast cancer when she was 3, she made the big decision to have a mastectomy when she’d finished uni a few years ago.

Wow, you have been busy with card making. I copied one of your anniversary for DS2 and DIL, I used their wedding colours as I do every year for them.

I do have some photos, I will make the effort to share them soon, hopefully I won’t be so rushed and tired this week

I haven’t looked back at everything so sorry if I’ve missed something. Take care all, and try to keep cool x

Nice to see you back Alison. How’s the recruiting going?
MIL is due home today but they said that yesterday so we shall see. DIL is frantic with worry for her Mum as you would expect.

Not staying on to comment ladies but I'll just pop on to 'like' the photo's and keep up to date with all your news. I have to get this wrist better soon as it is limiting everything I do.

    Here’s a BRIGHT, a courgette flower

    667E5D2C-2DC8-4DF6-8559-FC18932E1329.jpg

And my SUMMER abundance of courgettes. My plants are enormous this year, I’m struggling to see the courgettes though as they are so well hidden. Hence the variety of sizes !

Sunday tea bread and butter with lemon curd with a slice of fruit cake with a slab of cheese to finish
Growing up in the south of England I’d never experienced fruitcake and cheese, John introduced me to it and now I can’t imagine having the cake without the cheese

Ooh Mary you’ve never lived ,if you haven’t had cheese and fruit cake
    Your tea looks scrummy.
Yes I think it’s a good year for Agapanthus. Mine are doing well, better
    than last year.

I’d never had cheese and fruit cake until last year! I quite liked it but not sure I’d bother again..enough calories in the cake let alone the cheese too!
Beautiful agapanthus Ellie..mine are struggling in all this dry weather.

Ooh, haven’t had lemon curd in ages !
Fruit cake and cheese are perfect together, hubby has it quite a lot.

Beautiful white agapanthus. Mine have done well this year, best they’ve ever been, but I think it’s down to me being at home more and giving all my plants more care and attention
