    Acetate for stencils

I saw on youtube how you can use a laminator pouch sheet.Run it through the laminator machine. Hey presto, you have acetate which you can use with cameo using one pass. So pleased. As before i was using 220 micron acetate and had to use 3-4 passes to cut out my stencil.

I've tried this and it does work but when I wanted to make stencils I preferred to use plastic page divider's, you do need to trim the sides but I got two out of one divider.

I use transparency film aka acetate film, comes in a box usually (letter size 8-1/2 x 11 inches)- the kind teachers use on an overhead projector. It is a lot less expensive than laminator pouches.
    I use Blade # 6
    Speed 8
    Thickness 30
and pick the double cut option.

This type acetate makes nice boxes and for score lines needed to make a box I use the __ __ __ __ line feature on the Cameo/Craft Robo/ Slhouette.

    Happy paper cutting

Love the tips here I have a lot of plastic page dividers. Just a thought if I was to cut two identical designs and then stick them together, wondered if you could then put through a die cutting machine and use it to emboss the design onto the card.

Worth a try Eileen especially if you use an embossing mat
